Chugging Away at Little Star

Little Star Center is the lucky recipient of three TOMY Chuggington Wooden Railway playtables and complete wooden train sets!  TOMY is working with Autism Speaks this fall by providing 500 preschools and facilities serving young children across the U.S. with this classic toy.  The train set engages preschoolers with play patterns and provides a variety of opportunities for play, developmental exploration and educational or therapeutic work.

“At TOMY, we have been watching preschool-aged children become enthralled with our toy trains for over two decades,” said Michelle Burgener, account coordinator with Salmon Borre Group, on behalf of TOMY.  “We realize budgets are tight and want to do our part to bring opportunities for fun and wholesome developmental play to the wonderful children you serve.  Our hope is that your children will enjoy playing with these quality toys.”

Mary Rosswurm, Little Star executive director, said “We very much appreciate being selected by TOMY for this special donation.  Our learners in Carmel and Lafayette will enjoy this toy greatly and it will be a great opportunity for our therapists to use as part of the child’s intervention treatment.”
