Frequently Asked Questions

LittleStar’s Telehealth Consultation Program allows families to receive the care they need via video connection on their schedule.

Q: will therapy be delivered only on LittleStar operating hours?
Consultation will occur between the hours of 8:00 am to 6:00pm Monday through Friday. However, specific arrangements will be made with your BCBA to identify the most optimal schedule.
Q: do l have to pay?
Payment options will be identified at the onset of treatment. For specific questions, please contact [email protected] for instructions.
Q: How do l know my child is appropriate for consultation services?
To access consultation services your child will need a formal autism diagnosis, if you do not have an autism diagnosis service options may still be available. Please contact [email protected] for more information.
Areas that consultation may cover include:
  • Mild Behavioral Concerns (e.g., tantrums, low frequency aggression, SIB, and elopement)
  • Sleep and Mild Feeding Concerns
  • Improving Communication
  • Following/Creating Daily Routines (morning, mealtime, bedtime, bath, etc.)
  • Following/Setting Rules and Expectations
  • Caregiver Follow Through
  • Applied Behavior Analysis Basics (e.g., reinforcement, prompting, functions of behavior, etc.)
If your child needs support in any of these areas, they qualify!
Q: how long will this program last? 
The program will last until your child’s symptoms or challenges are ameliorated, the pandemic is over, or until your regular provider (i.e., school or ABA provider) is able to resume support. However, if you would like to extend consultation please speak with your BCBA.
Q: What are technology requirements to access telehealth consultation.
Telehealth requirements include a computer, tablet, or phone with a camera; internet; and access to Microsoft Teams. If you have questions about whether you meet the technology requirements, please reach out to [email protected].
