Graduation Day!

Little Star Center – Lafayette celebrated the transition of two learners from the Center’s program to school with a special ceremony in which recognition and plaques were awarded for successfully completing their course of intervention. “We love our learners and are very excited when they learn how to communicate better and interact with others,” said Mary Rosswurm, Little Star executive director.  “But, we don’t want them to stay with us forever.  We want them to become more independent and feel comfortable in the ‘real world’.”  Learners, parents, siblings and staff enjoyed cake and punch and stories about the graduates’ accomplishments during the festivities.  Best wishes to all!
